Apology accepted... mostly because I assume the gentleman in blue & the lady in red are demonstrating to support our proposed charity fundraising machine.
The sooner Substack writers and managers think of this as their idea, the better. The ideal outcome would be that there are so many articles about this all over Substack that everybody forgets about the Writers As Heroes blog. I keep writing "Don't promote my article, write your own, and promote that."
But I'm still mad at you for being an inexcusably handsome GQ character. :-)
I really like this idea of everyone contributing a very small amount to make a big difference. I do hope that is limited to those who have paid subscribers, of course, because I think it's good to keep the barrier to entry low. Substack is an amazing platform for community building, and can do so much good, so having more participants striving to create better content AND contributing to a good cause is a Win, Win, Win 🌟

That's the general idea. ChatGPT was being stupid this morning, so I had to lower my expectations and go with the flow. And, THANKS for the restack!
btw: when I wrote "*our* proposed charity fundraising machine," I wasn't trying to take credit for your idea. I was trying to express solidarity. 😊
